Public Relations at National Identity Management commission



The Commission was established by the NIMC Act No. 23 of 2007, with responsibilities for implementing the National Identity Management System; managing the National Identity Database; issuing General Multi-purpose (smart) Cards (GMPCs); and providing Identity Verification Services in Nigeria.

Job Description:
Reporting to the Head, Corporate Communications, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out creative publicity programs to improve the public image of the Commission, as well as maintain its positive reputation. A key component of this will be to build and maintain strong relationships between the Commission and various stakeholders, including the media, government officials, investors and the local community.

Key Requirements
  • A good first degree or its equivalent in Management, Journalism, Administration, Public Administration, or Mass Communication.
  • A minimum of 5years’ relevant professional experience or 10 years’ Civil Service experience.
  • Membership of relevant professional association is an advantage.
  • Demonstrable experience in media relations, public relations, advertising and external communications.
