Job Title: Manager – Facilities
Job Description
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive and professional Facilities Management System
- Co-ordinate day-to-day facilities management operations and resolve all facility and construction related issues in a 24/7 business environment
Responsibities
- Develop and implement company-wide strategy and policies on facilities and utilities.
- Oversee operations and maintenance of all company manned properties including headquarters, regional offices, call centres, engineering sites, shops, etc, across all departments and functions.
- Ensure provision and maintenance of mission critical back-up power supply for all facilities.
- Prepare division-level inputs and manage divisional budgets fo Preparation and management of divisional and departmental annual budgets and input into the longer term financial plans for the company.
- Build and motivate a team to deliver world class facilities management.
- Manage a large subcontractor universe providing a variety of facilities management and other related services ranging from equipment maintenance to janitorial services.
- Co-ordinate the execution of the division's work programmes and plans.
- Lead and direct the definition, implementation and review of company-wide processes, policies and procedures with regard to facilities management.
- Ensure synergy and collaboration in intra-divisional activities and communication.
- Ensure adherence to inter-divisional and inter-departmental Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Continually keep abreast of facilities management-related best practices with a view to improving the division's services.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports.
- Champion the implementation of an effective maintenance process for all company assets and facilities.
- Ensure that the company's facility management practices conform to relevant Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) legislation.
- Provide inputs for the documentation of SLAs between the company and relevant vendors.
- Co-ordinate, manage and monitor activities of vendors to ensure adherence to agreed SLAs.
- Co-ordinate and manage all utility related activities across the organization.
- Prepare and monitor the annual budget for the division.
- Co-ordinate the preparation and compilation of agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Director-Operational Support.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director-Operational Support
- First degree in Estate Management or any other relevant discipline
- Postgraduate/ professional qualifications and/ or certifications in a related field will be an advantage
- At least six (6) directly relevant post-NYSC work experience, with at least most recent three (3) years in a supervisory role
