Job Title: Manager – Events



Job Description  

Execute all commercial events, exhibits and fairs aimed at enhancing Etisalat Nigeria's corporate image/ brand.

Responsibities
  • Keep abreast of global and local best practices with regard to events management.
  • Support the Head-Events & Sponsorship in continuously reviewing the units activities; make recommendations for improvement and implement approved initiatives to ensure enhanced team performance.
  • Identify required resources, personnel and funding to achieve the units strategy.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Co-ordinate all activities involved in planning Etisalat Nigeria events including preparation of event plans/ programmes, communication plans, media material, venue selection and post-event evaluation.
  • Identify opportunities for Etisalat Nigeria to participate in local and international events with the aim of enhancing brand image and visibility; proffer recommendations for the attention of the Head-Events and Sponsorship.
  • Liaise with the Communications and Merchandising team to ensure adequate and prompt supply of promotional items for events and fairs.
  • Ensure distribution of appropriate promotional and gift items at Etisalat Nigeria events to foster goodwill and enhance the organizations corporate image.
  • Liaise with the visual advertising team to ensure adequate visibility of all planned events.
  • Implement the Events units work programmes and plans in line with agreed upon procedures and guidelines.
  • Plan and manage the human and material resources of the unit to optimize performance, boost morale and enhance productivity.
  • Manage inter-functional relations to ensure synergy across the various departmental functions.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage subordinates performance towards the achievement of overall team objectives.
  • Monitor and control the budgetary needs of the Events unit.
  • Prepare/ compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Head-Events and Sponsorship.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head-Events and Sponsorship

Educational Requirements  
  • First degree or equivalent in any relevant discipline.
  • Postgraduate/ professional qualifications and/ or certifications in a related field will be an advantage.
Experience,Skills & Competencies  
  • Between six (6) and eight (8) directly relevant post-NYSC work experience, with at least most recent three (3) years in a supervisory role.
